Default Hey Smitty

Smitty,
I always enjoy your insight and comments on everyone’s builds. I have looked through the forms and cannot find an answer I am looking for.
Here is some details on my build
28 Donzi zx
twin 350 mag short blocks stock bore, cam and pistons
upgraded the heads to aluminum with upgraded valves and springs
edlebrock super chargers with Holley 750 Blower carbs
msd dist and box
what should be my base timing and full advance above 3500
thanks in advance

Smitty, I see you are giving free tuning advice so have a question. I have a boat engine with a cast iron block that's been bored over and decked with torque plates by a buddy. It has aluminum pistons out of a Corvette engine and a 3/4 race cam. Twin Brodix blowers with crossfire manifolds and Mikuni carbs, any idea what injectors I should use and should I do a glow plug delete? Thanks

Chad, I shoulda took a picture of that hermaphrodite corvette, LMFAO. 59 or 60 corvette, twin overhead cam something or another on TOP of stock heads and valve covers but done good enough where at first glance made you scratch your head. 2 sets of spark plug wires, a tune port intake from late 80s gm, with injectors, with harness with 2 weber or similar carbs adapted where throttle body should go. That old boy didnt want us to leave, after about 3 or 4 hrs we got the new spare dyno brake in truck and left laughing

I bought a new stuska dyno in anticipation of my old one breaking which it recently did. Then I recently heard of a old guy that bought the same exact dyno brake new 20 years ago in lake orion but never used it and he was selling it for 1/3 of new so I got him on the phone, cant see passing up on buying a spare. I asked for pics, yeah sure, guy said "well, If I can find my digital camera and get my wife to figure out how to email them to you or something maybe" so I realized he was QUITE old. I just drove down there with cash, my truck and a helper as I imagined it would be buried under a mountain off junk. Sure enough it was some work to get it out, ol boy told us his life story and all about all the hot ro v drives he had in 1972, 75 etc. He still had half the parts from that stuff scattered randomly in his shop along with a bunch of half finished late 1940s street rods. Had a set of 348/409 valve covers grafted on top of a sbc with tunnel ram in one of them, had the afore mentioned hermaphrodite corvette, had some kinda bbc roots blower motor with some kind of faux OHC valve cover or cyl head grafted on one side but not the other, was quite entertainment!
