I was thinking pvc sewer piping. It's relatively thin and lightweight. Printable. But ends up looking sketchy when the elbows get added.
The brake vent hose seems to be the best solution, and really what the marine industry deserves for such an important and forgotten part of the fire prevention system. I think my current bilge fans are 4", but size is deceiving. |
I’m not a fan of the standard blower hose either. Such an eye sore in an engine bay. It doesn’t improve the function, but I’ve seen a couple builders such as sunsation cover the hose with some sort of tubing to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

See the blue covering in this one Makes sense, use standard blower hose and use loom style exterior. I don't have near the room as this, or minimalist clean look. My engine bay is pretty busy with the Arnesons pushing the tranny/engine forward right to the firewall. Gives great access to the transom... I checked, and hose is 3". For some reason it felt larger. I don't mind the look of the brake hose. Has a technical appearance to it. Thanks for the great info. |
This stuff looks better and a little more rigid
