Pull a water sep fuel filter and dump the contents into a clear glass and let it sit for 20 mins. Water will go to the bottom and fuel will float on top.

List to recap what has been done. Again it ran fine when I put it up last November. Just now getting it out and right off the trailer dealing with this idled it over to the lift thought it would be something simple. Frustrating

Disconnect the fuel sourced from the tank, and run out of a 5 gallon tank from the cockpit. It's dangerous, but can be done. Probably best to do at the ramp.

Classic description of water in your fuel caused by condensation in your fuel tank during long term storage. Water at the bottom of your tank will stay at the bottom. When you go to get on plane the water moves toward the rear of the tank where the pick up tubes are. Been there and done that first trip after a winter lay up. I think I dumped my water sep filter 4-5 times before it cleared out.

Yup. ^^^
Had one with the newer cool fuel system - no spin off cartridges. Ugghh.
I pulled about 10 gallons fuel out of tank with my remote fuel pump system, boat still ran like crap ( idle fine but not trying to plane) out on water….about 30-40 minutes out on lake, engine changed tone and vroom, last of crap fuel must have been ingested, and then life was good.
