540 Remote oil filter/ thermostat
 

Hello,
I have a Gen V1 and would like to install a remote oil filter and thermostat assembly. Currently I need everything but don't have the room on the engine to install a system like the one CP sells. I need some help selection the individual components to make a system, if some has built one or has information would be helpful.

When you say "thermostat", do you mean a thermostat for bypass to the cooler or a temperature sender for a gauge?

I bought a thermostat from Improved racing. Works very well. They have a few different temperature settings available and it's easy to switch them out. I started with the 212 degree setting but that was too hot and ended up buying the185 degree internals. They also have a 165 degree. I bought a Hardin block mounted remote oil filter assembly and later found out that they have basically the same assembly with an integral thermostat. Hardin and CP basically sell the same stuff. They have many different remote filter blocks.

For oil bypass

i have 2 keith eikert thermostatic housing for sale in swap shop. There nice units. Can remote mount them

I run an Improved racing thermostatic filter base with 12AN fittings. I like the 145 thermostat after testing a few different t-stats.
