I have already prices insurance between the 500EFI vs. the 525 or even the 575, and 5mph does not equel $$$$ per month.

Ryder, Mark the Donzi dealer on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia still has one as well, I believe... brandy new too.... between Robert's and Mark's boat's you've got the 2 best pick's in the country to choose from.

When i was shopping it was More than triple from 500efi to 575 insurance.
I am currently insuring my ZR w/ Bob @ worldwide underwriters for 1,250 per year .
Same boat w/ 575 would have been $ 4,300 per year....
I was really interested in a 525 boat (afraid of blowers,,,again) but the insurance was about the same as the 575 boat. If you go over 490 prop HP the insurance premium goes way up - and you NEVER want to under-insure.
For me it just made more sense to go with the choice i made.

I've spent quite a bit of time in both - no comparison a very different boat, you should love it.
Interesting - Sy was my agent and was quite a bit more than Bob...three years ago.

Going from a Top Gun to the ZR the lack of cabin was a concern. But having two young children the more secure ride of the ZR out weighed the other. Through my research you can have a deck entry cabin built for 5k , opposing love seats, storage , head etc... the zr's already have nice lighting under it just needs to be fancied up a little...
A while back big thunder traded(?) there demo boat to a guy up north and this boat had the factory 1/4 cabin already installed w/ a head.
