NEW ZR thread
Since the last thread turned into a Donzi bashing I'll start a new one.
Any new pics of some new 38 ZR's? I am very interested in one for next season, but I want to hear some feedback from someone besides Powerboat Magazine. Please only post if you have information about the ZR's, not Donzi customer care. Lonestar |

The 35 ZR is an awesome boat, I have sold 5 of them and everyboat has performed over 90+ Mph the mid range is fantastic, I also had the pleasure of running a 38 ZR in 1000 Islands Poker run and all I can say Is Donzi did a great job on this boat, we started of almost last and by the time we got to the first card stop I caught up to the 1st group that was the 100mph group, we Ran 84 mph in fresh water and passed about 48 boats in the first group, then we started with the 100 group to the next stop and passed about 15 more, It wasn't the top speed it was how the boat performed that we moved to the front, This boat just loved the chop and rough water. No Chine walk and you felt secure.

Do we know how fast the 38 ZR non comp runs with 525's? Shanghied, what engines were in that 38?? Was it a sit down??

Re: NEW ZR thread
The 38 that Frank is talking about is running staggered 525's. It has electric stand up bolsters.

Re: NEW ZR thread
We easily ran 84 all day long in the Poker Run, with 5 people, and a full fuel load, and I do know it is faster in salt water. I don't think Typhoon Performance Marine has had a 35 ZR that runs slower than 93 yet.
Check out www.donzi.net or this thread for more info http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?t=41437 Frank Civitano at Typhoon Performance Marine is the guy you wan't to talk to. |

No Limits: The difference is running in fresh water you will loose 5 mph easy and depending on humidty, weight and fuel aboard. When we ran the boat we passed at least 45 boats and were now running with the 100 mph club. The 38 ZR has to be the best boat I have ever been in and believe me I have tested and drove a lot of boats. If you take a look at the Speedo below we did coming back from the last card stop get 90 out of the boat and we had a blast.
