Frank, I too had the 22ZX back in 2001 when you had yours. It was an awesome boat. I bought a 30 Spectre with twin O/B's and loved it. Now, the boat is gone due to insurance prices. I wish I had my 22 back, it was reliable and insurance was 700 a year, not 7200.00. The 27 ZR looks great. The dealer we have here is not to reputable even though Im just around the corner from the factory. We met at Gators in St. Pete when you ran your 26zx at a poker runs of America event.

Wow that Poker Run seems like ages ago. That was my first run with my 26 ZX when I bought her new and I still have her, the boat runs so darn good! I wanted to upgrade then I figured why, my Insurance isn't bad, I can run 90% of the Poker runs with her and the boat can take one heck of a beating and is easy to tow.

Frank , Why is it a 22 classic can run a 500efi and yet they wont even put a 496 in a 22zx? They only make the 26 now with a windshield not the typcal Donzi windscreen like the 22 and 28zx

Speed To lead: The windsreen on the 26 ZX is an option and even on the 28 ZX she is an option, the 22 ZX is now history Donzi is no longer making the 22 ZX. mainly is a price issue, believe its or not its almost cheaper to build a 26 ZX then a 22. The 22 ZX took to much time to build. plus with more people wanting the 22 Classic the need for the 22 ZX is not so great. The main reason they got rid of the big blocks in the 22 ZX mainly Liability reasons, You had to know how to handle the 22 ZX with big power the boat would slide on turns and was a handful if you didn't know what you were doing she also was a lot faster then the 22 Classic with a 502/ The 22 ZX with a 502 almost ran 78 mph. I had a procharged 22 ZX and she ran 82+ mph
