Any new 38 ZR owners out there?

If so, how does the boat handle in the rough stuff and what kind of speeds are you getting? Any other info would be great... :D

I too was hoping to see more action in this forum.

I'm not a Donzi owner, but I'm a fan of the new 38ZR! Best of luck with your new boat!

Hey Guys, I'm Alive and kicking!

I have hull no 6, 38ZR w/525,s. I moved up fropm a 33ZX. Boat handles rough water very well. The staggered engines keep the boat flat so when you get out of the water, the bow stays down instead of sitting down in back. Just turned 100 hours on the boat last month and will be back in it next week for a few days. I'm very happy with the boat. Donzi has a few quirks to work out, but overall very nice

Quirks,

Windscreen is too low, should be about 2 inches higher for real wind protection.

Steps in front of passenger seat are nice but lowest step is a knee banger.

My 33 ZX had snap in carpet in the cabin area, ZR has carpet glued in so cleaning is a little more difficult.

All minor quirks.

Just curious, how tall are you?

I guess we'll find out about the lowest step thing??

Any plans of what you might do about the windscreen?

5'-10" tall

Donzi has a higher windscreen out already and my dealer has promised me one

You're average height then. How much taller is the higher windscreen? I might look into this before the boat even gets delivered.
