Donzi has not produced a 525 boat yet. Plans are to put the motor in the next 27 out of the mold. They expect low 80's with a 525 and Mercury prop.

If all indications of how the 27 runs with a 496/HO that runs 72-74 mph depending on water a conditions she should see 82-84 mph with a 525. Most of the 27ZRs we sold in the North East with 496s are running 70+, what I couldn't believe is the ride she actually runs better then my 26 ZX that has more weight on her. The last 27 ZR I delivered to a Customer in Somers Point thats about 60 Nautical miles away The Customer and my wife took the ride down and she even said the boat rides better then ours, Now the top speed out of my 26 with a 502 was 66mph tops. I just installed a new engine 502/580HP in my boat and I am still only getting 75 mph. The design of the 27ZR is just awesome, she cuts the water like a knife and is very stable.
