Keep your 525 Shelby dollars.. I'll stick with an older 22 classic and I will build a mild 540 for it ... whole project cost a fraction of that "pay for the name" toy. And the 27 is the way to go. OK so the original 525 had Kevlar. Just add some carbon and kevlar to it. Damn boat is squirly at about 82 mph anyway.

i've been in a few 22's in XS of 85 mph, as a matter of fact 1 of um in the mid 90's and ran fantastic...496 mag Shelby boat runs lil over 80 on stock power with warranty...

Nonsense. This Donzi had a Pro Charged 454 Mag, and will run 91+, and his wife isn't afraid to ride it in.
