Re: Our new ride
Cool! What power did you get? Did you trade the 22?
|
Re: Our new ride
Thanks, Yes I did trade the 22c.. The new boat has a 496 Mag Ho /B1x and external hydraulic steering.. I got the ok to do some motor upgrades after we put som time on it this summer.. So I am trying to decide how far I want to go with it. I am going to do a few small upgrades before I splash it this year.. Like a drive shower for one thing & possibly some other small stuff at first too. :) I wish we had the time this winter to run down to FL & run a bit with you & Deb, But I have to keep the bills paid and keep the clients happy... :) Jamie /Lakeside

Re: Our new ride
Congradulations on your new ride you guys are going to love the 26ZX, I love mine and if you add more power she is awesome! I have mine running just shy of 80 mph. The Best of Luck with her.
|
Re: Our new ride
We do like your boat. Too bad ours did not come standard at that speed. :drink: However the wife and I always want to try to stay new in case there is any warranty issues. Which we both know never happens on a new boat.:drink: Hopefully mine will be hitting your speed once I am done with it. Unless the wife changes her mind and forces me to go bigger again. If money was not an issue she really liked that 43zr you had. She said it even has a trailer. Only thing is the bank account is short a "couple" dollars. Jamie:evilb: :evilb:

Re: Our new ride
Love the boat.

Re: Our new ride
Sweet......when did they start notching the transom?
|
Re: Our new ride
Congrats on your new ride!!
|
Re: Our new ride
Thanks guys..
Brian, The notched transom is on the more recent stuff. I know up until at least 2000 or 2001 that they were a non notched transom.. I just dont know when the first one came out for sure. Possibly Frank Civitano could chime in with a definitive year... :) Jamie / Lakeside |

Would Be Great To Meet This Summer... We Live In Pasadena And Usually Boat From The South River To the Inner Harbor & Over To The Eastern Shore (Redeyes, Joiles....) Have Only Been As Far North As North East Md. Ted. This past summer we took our other boat (2006 22classic the one we just got rid of) down to Jellyfish shoals.. We wanted to get out more on the bay on the weekends. That was one of the reasons for jumping into another bigger Donzi again.. We have had numerous boats in the past for ourselves, but I sold them all a quite a few years back & re-invested the money into our business... Now the last few years the business has been pretty good, so time to take a little time for my wife & I again to play on the water.. I liked the 26's because it fits well for us.. Big enough to roam & not feel cramped, but small enough to easily trailer for me without any big hassles. We have had several Donzi's before for demo's or some used that we brokered.. The 33zx Daytona was the boat that sold my wife & I on the line.. The boat spoiled us... I had a Scarab at the time.. After I had the first run in the 33 the scarab went up for sale the following week.. Dont get me wrong, we would have loved to get into a 33 or 38zx, but it just isnt practical for us.. Catch ya later & hopefully we can meet you this summer sometime.. :) Jamie BTW, Do you go to Jackson marine's Donzi poker runs out of NE MD?? We have been going on them the last couple of years.. |
Re: Our new ride
Jamie, this is Rick from Mississippi, we spoke yesterday about the tips. Was checking out your new ride, very nice. I like the fact that Donzi stays with what works in style, & design. I love my 99 26ZX, & am looking forward to my first summer with it. I also want to express my thanks for working with me yesterday with the exhaust tips. It's nice to deal with someone such as yourself, especially being that I am very much a "rookie" to the performance boating, but you took the time to go thru all my options, & I do appreciate that. I look forward to doing future business with you.....hmmm, perhaps that Pro-Charger....:D

Re: Our new ride
Jaime its Jellyfish Joels for future reference....
Sorry I had to do it... Undertaker |

I TOOK THOSE PICTURES AFTER THE SEA TRIAL. BTW, THOSE ARE JUST TWO CABIN CUSHION JUST SITTING THERE APPEARING LIKE A SEAT, HOWEVER, THE BOAT DOES HAVE 4 BOLSTERS ON THE REAR SEAT. TED
Oh,,, That makes sense.. :eureka: I could understand why someone would put in a seat like that..lol.. :eureka: J |
Re: Our new ride
Nice boat never really been a fan of donzi but the new'r ones def. have some apreal to the i must say hey did u guys see the shelby donzi pretty nice ride
|
Re: Our new ride
Yes, but Im not personally into the interior on the shelby... I had an 06 22 classic all loaded up that I just got rid of when I got my new 06 26zx.. I like the conventional classic interior better.. But that's just me, as far as the rest of the boat cosmetically I like it & it's matching fairing.. :) Jamie
