A friend of mine found a 1968 18' donzi with a 351 and a volvo drive. i think its in decent condition. im going to look at it in the next couple of days. any thing that i should look for. are these boats colloectors items? what is it worth?

Value is dependent on condition & originality. Prices can be all over the place.

Look for bad gas tanks (or ones that have not been replaced yet).

Look for rotted frames & transom cores. Also look for the original deck harware & Donzi rear logo plates.. These are all pricey & tough to find items. Only some reproduction items are available anymore.

Also if it has a volvo check to see if the boots are torn (they usually ruin the gimble bearing if bad) & if the trim or tilt works. They are pricey items to repair if they are bad.
