Donzi ZXXX, who is a tuner that I could talk to as I don't believe that there are any around where I am at. Will they just need to know what I am running for a block, cam and so forth. I took the motor in today to get bored and stroked to a 540. They were going to get a cam for it, not sure what all I am needing to do here. Any help that you could give that will steer me in the correct direction would be greatly appreciated.

I think you actually may have run 105 mph. At one point.....I was at 105mph and you were EXACTLY beside me. 110mph was the minimum speed that I could actually put any distance between us. That was INSANE! I felt like we were on the Colorado River canyon racing. 3 wide with 5000hp thundering down the gorge. UFB! I still get jacked up talking about it. Everytime I got my chit set ready to stretch its legs....I was at another left or right hand turn. They were coming up quick at 100+. I hit 112 mph at 5600 later that day back over by the other damn....same thing....got everything set....had just got on the gas and ran into a bunch of boat traffic. I think the new wheels are going to be perfect on mine. CONGRATS again! I'm happy for ya brotha! I am just glad to say that I know the DONZI ROCKSTAR!

PS....thanks again for making me spend a grand in 1 day on gas. We ended up running over 150 miles just on Saturday.

Thanks for the reply guys...

Have seen some 700hp 502's for 12k freshly rebuilt and new xr drives. May get into something like that and sell off my B3 and stock 502 in the next few months. Think I'll ride this one out till I decide to snag a larger boat... I like the 43ZR but I do like to pay cash for what I own... never been a fan of payments. May have to hustle for a year or two before I can drop that kind of cash, after all I am only 29... and the few lakes close to me are too small to run huge boats...need a lake house up north. Well people do run boats on lake lewissville but the real place in Texas to go is Texoma and I don't want to tow a 27'8" boat four hrs both ways...too often.

It was a very large time. And yes, the guys at Hidden Harbor remembered you very well when I went over on Sunday!

I ran part of the lower lake today. 80 was nothing like 100+!

I only pay cash.

700hp on a 502 for $12k? Not for anything that will last. You want to sell the 502 and have a drop in for the ZX with any beans you will need to drop $25k MIN. $35 k to really make it run. You need at least a 540 and should think about boost. Add $8K for the drive and $4k for the steering and you are just getting into the game. You will then need to drop a few k on goodies and you are just starting to roll.

I have spent years messing with the ZX hull and have a pretty good idea of what it takes.

Drop me a pm.

If they can't tune a MEFI, I dang sure would not let them get a cam. I probably would not let them set up much of anything for that matter.

Heads, cam, exhaust and tune all need to work together. If not you are pissing into the wind. Sorry to be blunt but that is how it works.
