Default what is top speed for 28 zx

I am looking to buy a 2000 28 zx with 300hp engs. I kinda want to know what the top speed should be before I drive 6hrs to go look at it. can anyone else tell me what self I should look for from past experience on the zx

70-72 at best....

With 377 Scorpions the 28's can be in the low 80's, one of our crew Whippled his Scorpions and he is in the low Triple Digits...when he wants to be..

Yep.. Pretty accurate #'s so far for stock units.. They can definitley go faster if you enhance or upgrade the power. They still handle well @ higher speeds too.. They are good boats. Jamie

What props are you running to get 70mph? I have a GPS speedo and am not getting anything close to that.

I have heard that before. I hear that you have have it trimmed just right and let it cook for a while to break 70.

I'm not even close. 22 deg 4 blade props 63mph i doubt it will get anywhere close to 70
