Mick E-mailed pics to the head of sales at Donzi last night and already got a "WOW" response this morning so they are watching.

Mick is on his way for the water test, I will have camera in hand and post when I get back.

Donziweasel 06-07-2009 09:07 AM

What Matty said. :)

Brain, you are obvioulsy a hell of a craftsman. Amazing work.......

thirdchildhood 06-07-2009 09:31 AM

The boat looks even better in person, even when it is dusty. I've seen it. Brian did some work on my 22 Classic also. Anyone in metro Detroit looking for a mechanic to work on your performance boat I recommend Brian.

Nothing like the old traditional Classic paint job. It has it's time and place. It always will. I have a pretty well appointed 26ZX with some wild power for that hull. I keep my boat in a pretty cool marina and they are down with the whole big power thing. That being said, I was out in my 1973 X-18 this weekend. I had several folks pull me aside to tell me they respected what I did with the 26 but they liked the X-18 the best. I drove 30 miles up the lake to see a friend that has a Hustler 388 with Young 950's and Arnesons. He showed his friends my X-18 like it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. His boat was decked out to the 9's and he wanted to talk about my little Donzi. Classic Donzi's and the classic scheme will always have that timeless look.

I do think that this is very cool though. Good do see something out of the box. This boat looks way over the top. I like it and hope to see it in person one day.

Shanghied Again 06-15-2009 08:41 AM

That is one of the nicest looking 22s I have ever seen "Great job"

Drunkin_driveR 06-17-2009 07:29 PM

That boat is beautiful, Im tring to find a 22 shelby gt.

i was just wondering how much did all the upgrades cost you, and what is the top speed on that now?

brian41 06-18-2009 04:54 AM

The boat is not mine I did it for customer and the cost...lets just it was not cheap.

ktron 06-29-2009 04:04 PM

Very Nice Stuff! Boat looks Incredible!!!

mattyboy 06-29-2009 08:31 PM

Mick was trying a few props up at lake george and trying to get her dialed in last i heard it was a tad off 80 and improving all the time
pics don't do it justice you have to see it in person

ktron 06-30-2009 11:18 AM

Has he tried a shorty drive? I would think it would help a great deal with how low the drive is mounted.

Boat is very cool!

you know there is so much to look at on that boat I am not sure what he has for a drive

brian41 06-30-2009 03:22 PM

We originally built the boat with a -2 IMCO shorty and it ran about 3 MPH faster but between the picking up weeds and cavitation issues Mick decided to put the stock lower back on.

Jigsaw89 06-30-2009 04:10 PM

That boat looks like the most expensive 22' Donzi in existence.
