Can anybody tell me where my 1988 18 Classic was built?
VIN starts with DMRCA***D888

Not sure when Donzi was taken over by OMC, but I do remember Don A. "died" in Feb 87.

Classics were built in Lauderdale Lakes (same warehouse complex as Powerplay) Dick Genth built a new factory by SRQ airport which is the current Chris Craft plant today. He moved everything over there 2-3 years prior to OMC purchase. That should make yours a West Coast build. On a related note, when OMC sold Donzi to AMH, they set up Donzi in the old Chris Craft Plant which is where they are today.
