Hey Dean,

I just changed from a 38ZR with std Bravo XR's to 38ZR with 600's and latham extension boxes last season. Other than the speed and torque differences of the 600's the boat handles exactly the same. The ITS is a nice clean package on the transom, no hoses, etc to clean up around.

Good Luck,

Mark

Mark,
Thanks for the insight, and just to clarify for me, your present 38 ZR has an extension box, (Latham) but not the Merc. ITS set-up, correct? I agree the ITS is a clean package, and I was thinking that the extra ~7 inches of set back would give the 38 ZR more leverage in trimming and running in big snotty water?

Dean,

Thats right, my boat now has latham extension boxes, my old boat had standard xr's. No difference in rough water either.

Good Luck

I have drove both boats with ITS and without. With ITS the boat gets on plane faster especilly into the chop, the boat also handles on a straight line. You will have no drift with ITS. speed is about the same between both.
