Default Sweet 16

Hi guys , I have what might be a silly question. The shifter in my 1995 sweet 16 is sticking and I would like to remove it and repair it. I can't seem to figure out how to get the shifter out of the side panel or the side panel off the cockpit. Has anybody tackeled this problem . Any help would be appreciated.

You will have to take the panel off from behind, through the engine bay for the rear nuts and under the dash for the front nuts. And then you can remove the shifter from the panel. A real fun job done it a couple of times.
