It's here and it's awesome...

Here is the footage of the first time I turned the key.

Unfortunately for us (and a hell of a lot of our country at the moment), we have had major flooding. This means massive trees, railway sleepers and all sorts of other debris has been carried into our rivers and bay and is just waiting for us to run over it at 90 mph and destroy our brand new boat and kill ourselves.

The fresh water sits on top of the salt and the dense salt water supports the logs etc. This means they are just under the surface, lurking...

More waiting now. At least we can go sit in it !!....

don't forget to run water to the motor's when u start it on land you can burn up the impeller and the motor if let run to long .

by the way nice looking boat have fun and be careful until u have some hour's of run time on her and familiar with the way a step bottom run's compared to a non step boat .

what an awesome boat. Never expected it to be so good. 3200 RPM = 45mph. We hit 80 mph in it easily. I need to get used to the trim and the step hull. Its a lot different to our old fastlane which was a deep V.

The Donzi owns the bay here in Melbourne. Nothing can touch us...

Congrats on the ZR, Nice boat !

Have you thought about doing a video of you running with a RC-Heli or are they not fast enough?

Hey Congratulations !
I'm not sure where you are in Australia but I think Simon Isherwood at Race Marine is your your man.

Who shipped your boat back ?
Can you please give me a contact for them, that sounds cheap ?

How many more sleep's till she is here ?

Oh its here !
Sorry I didn't see the end of the thread.
I imported a Doug Wright AMT. Customs can be a real pain.

I am sure it is turning lots of heads.

I am in Sydney, but mat h is right, Simon Isherwood is tied up with the offshore race guys and they run 525's, so if you need anything, he may be your man. Met him when I was racing offshore and he is a good bloke, very knowledgable.

I had Simon out on the boat earlier in the year for a round of the Offshore Superboats off Williamstown. We were the start boat. The weater was insane. Mega rough. The Donzi loved it. I think we could have won the race.... Simon is a top bloke...
