Some of it will depend on drive height, prop & bottom set up. They came in a few different flavors. Regardless tho 600hp in that should at least get you mid to high 70's if you are not running in a high elevation. Yes, you usually will need over 600+ to get in to the 80s..

She is a heavy hull and loosens up as you go faster. Mine does not even hook up well until you get 60. It has sort of a pad on the bottom. You may experience a little chine walk in the high 70's as it climbs up. Once you get her to 80 or so, it settles down. I have not driven the hull with 600 hp. I have with 700 and that pushes it over the hump nicely. You will be right on the edge.
The 26ZX is great between 80-85. Very happy at that speed. At 90+ in glass smooth water it feels like you have a bunch of marbles under you. Not crazy but loose. A little chop helps. At 90+ it will get out of shape if you hit a side wake. Above 100 you will be more worried about hitting side wakes than driving the boat and watching gauges. It kind of feels like sitting on a time bond while holding a hand grenade at that speed.
Enjoy. The 26ZX LOVES power. K planes are a big plus when running in that transitional high 70's area.

I have heard of one or two that have done the big power thing in a 26ZX. I dunno anyone that keeps it.
I did recognize you after I posted. Keep up the good work and enjoy that ZX.
