Ask Gellis11 to send you some pics of his boat. His is the same color red as yours with an updated interior and fiberglassed speakers boxes throughout. He has a awesome looking 25 and you would think it was 2011 instead of a 87.

Right on!! Love the Z-25's since they were new in the 80s.

How is the hull/stringers on this one? I saw that you said someone had replaced them...? Does this boat have a problem with the hull wood in general?

The hull and stringers are rock solid on this one. Part of the stringer system has to be replaced on this one and they attributed it to 20 years of water in the bilge causing the stringers to get soft. I think on almost any wood stringer boat there is potential for them to get soft after long enough if not properly taken care of... hell even if properly taken care of. Either way these were repaired and solid as a rock now.

Anyone know what the "seat switch" does? Also, the post just in front of the windshield, what is this for?

gellis11 05-23-2012 04:47 PM

The seat switch activates a servo under the capitan's seat moving it forward or aft. The post ?? in front of the windshield is where you put your anchor light.
