Default For the record - A Donzi 38ZR built in NC

Some have been saying the Donzi name is finished. Many are saying Donzi can't make it back. I Purchased a 2012 Donzi 38ZR delivered in August, yes this August, built at the Washington, NC plant. While the machine needed some finishing after the sale I believe it may be the fastest 38ZR with 700's ever built. It's got 15 hours on it and I've had it up to 109mph in less than perfect conditions (5/8 tank gas, 3 hefty passengers, gear and heavy chop). I believe the boat will go 112mph or beyond in ideal conditions and the boat is bone stock as are the motors. I can't say they had it "all together" in NC but I can say the boat is fast, very fast. If people have the potential to build a boat like mine they also have the potential to build others like it. Let's hope Donzi pulls it out with new management!

Fastest 38 ZR with 700's ever built? Strong statement and who are we to argue....Congrats. I can tell you one thing... I never heard a new Donzi 38 ZR owner saying "I can't say they had it ALL TOGETHER but...." after the delivery of any Donzi built in FLORIDA. That was always the difference between a Donzi & a Fountain.

Is this boat legit? I've never seen anything past a 2009 Donzi (maybe 2010) listed in any of the classifieds. Is Donzi really making anything? I know for a FACT that the reported 43zr in the middle of production with 1350s was all hype and not really happening

I have seen a red 35zr open bow. This boat had the new 502s with the emission friendly exhaust. I'm not sure when they started making those but I'm pretty sure it was after or during the 2010 model year.

There you go! the red one is in Mass. The story I got was it is owned and used by a woman. This was her second 35. Her first one was for sale at the marina.

But is Donzi actually building boats now? I truly hope they are and I hope one day someone buys them and moves them back to Florida but 2011 is almost 3 years ago
