I heard inboards can be difficult.
on your boat,,get a 5 gallon bucket,,remove the thermostat and reinstall the housing,,drain the block and remove the hoses on the manifolds, let the manifolds drain and put the hoses back on,now add 4 gallons of antifreeze to the bucket, remove the water intake hose from the chrome tube on the transom housing and stick the hose in the 5 gallon bucket..start the engine and let it run until it suck the bucket dry and shut off the engine....now ewmove the coil wire and open all four barrels on the carb and spray fogging oil into the carm and crank over the engine,,repete this several times then your prety much done..i like to drain my tank,,been draining my tank on my donzi for over 25 yrs and so did the owner b4 me..

Lt1Donzi16:

+1 on Dah. They just upgraded an OMC SST prop for me. John is very knowledgable, explains what the mods will be, the work is fast and well done, and the prices are good. Give 'em a call.

+1 on MRFIXALL too. He has a lot of tech knowledge and is willing to share it. (Hey FIXX!!)

one thing to look at in the ultra is the stock volvo hub is weak it will spin just a matter of time ,most good shops like DAH will be able to modify the hub to a michigan hub which is much stronger.

the 350 will need to be north of 350 hp to spin a 23 solas on 1.6 gears the 21 is probably the place to start or the ultra 24

mrfixxall- thank you for those easy instructions, I winterized the boat yesterday without any problems. I even found out that the previous owner didn't even have a thermostat in it! Anyways, thanks again.
