came across a 1984 donzi classic with a 400 hp mercruiser cyclone 400 hp trs drive. Is this a rare engine package?

They did make a couple with the 400 and 440 merc not as common as the 330 merc . I would say that the engine package while rare or uncommon will not really add much value to the boat. The big factor in value will be the condition of the boat now closing in on 30 yrs old. That vintage would be the Last of The Chisholm era boats . Ownership changed in 85

In our records, I see one 400, and one 440 built in 84. The 400 was blue and white, the 440 was tangerine and white. Would LOVE to see pics of the one you found.

I realize this is a very old post ,just ran across it on the internet .i now own the blue boat referenced .from my understanding ,this engine package was pretty A expensive Option back then ? Is there any truth to that ?
