I agree Tom, I think mid 80's is plenty quick enough for what this guy needs, he is basically a pleasure boater who wants to run the occasional poker run, BUT, its one of those situations where his "next door neighbours former babysitters brother in laws cousins co worker" told him that Blue Motors are the way to go, guess sometimes you cant tell people what they dont want to hear {-;
I stumbled onto this one, its not 100K, but, not real far from it, any thoughts?

If the motor issues were cleared up it would be a great boat!

The 35 is side by side and 38 staggered. They extra feet come in the engine room for the stagger. Cabins and cockpits are the same. The 35 is a true 35' boat the 38 is actually 38' 8".

I spoke to the seller, sounds like a nice guy, claims headers are fine and has no problem with a leak down test. Has printout of engine hours and list of any/all warranty work. BUT also claims its a freshwater boat? Could be an honest mistake.
MARKDONZI: what issues should I look for?
Thanks for the input, I realize there may be some bias here, but, dollar for dollar Inhavent found much out there that compares to the 35/38ZR, especially with staggered blue motors

I have also heard there are MUCH easier to work on than a non staggered set up.

The staggered setup handles like it is on rails the side by side become a handful over 90.
Around the docks, all staggered boats are harder to handle than side by side.
And yes, staggered is much easier to work on.
