Air conditioning on ZR
I just looked at a ZR, but it doesn't have air. Can you retrofit factory air conditioning into the boat? Any idea how much that would cost to do?

the cabin is so small on a zr, have you gone in it yet? Same reason why i went with my ZX more room which made it useable with air. I would think adding a/c to a boat like that is a waste. Its almost like taking buying a porsche 911 (like a ZR) and inviting 4 people out with you, yea it has a backseat but really do you wanna sit back there when you can have the panamera (ZX)
but, back to your question and to stay on topic, yes you can add a/c, hell you can get a gen with hot water on that boat...anything is possible its just how much you want to spend? Also is it going to be used as in will one be confortable down below for an extended amount of time.

I've slept on our 43ZR multiple times (No AC so def wouldn't be comfortable in middle of summer). It's not the biggest most comfortable cabin, but it's doable. It sounds like you want the option of AC so it's either retro fit it in or sell and find one (or a ZX) with AC. For me, I'd rather have less usable cabin and more speed than vice versa

I have a 38ZR without air and have slept on it several times. It's kind of like sleeping in a pup tent and not very restful. If we have an overnight stay planned we usually try get a hotel room nearby. I built my ZR so all of the options, air, genset etc were available nit sure how many were built that way.
