Hydraulic Steering Fluid???
Got a 2000 38 ZX. What kind of fluid does it take. Mines getting low and I have a leak. Gonna need to add some when I go to fix it.

Pro stock,
Sorry you are wrong on this ...old fable from the early days of synthetic fluids.
There is a difference between trans fluid and ATF , so to answer this a bit more accurately as I admittedly am not familiar with the package In a 2000 37 Donzi..... I'd venture that Mercruiser based lubricants on GM, which would be Dexron III.
Redline offers D4 ATF and Power Steering Fluid, along with good technical advice on their website.
On a side note, I run a BMW race shop, we use Redline fluids exclusively, and I used it in my Donzi and now in my Magnum 27. Lightweight shockproof in my drives, D4 in my power steering which I run w/o a cooler in both boats, and 10w-40 in my engines. Never a leak or fluid based failure.
