Very true, love the 28zx but want the additional speed. From what I've been able to find in talking with previous owners, I think a few sold for around $55-$60k (depending on the hours and condition), so I'd say that range.

I toy with the idea of getting rid of mine from time to time. But it always comes down to the samething. It can be towed with a 1/2 truck, and it's about as big as a 1/2 can tow. It's got great speed for a stock boat(not to mention SBC's). It's big enuf to be the small guy at poker runs, yet a great size for all rivers and lakes. So I would say your defiantly looking at a great boat!! I love mine... And don't feel I could replace it with anything close to what it offers for the price. My next step is going to cost me a lot more $$$ and if I had the funds right now I would have you come look at mine... But the thought of being jostles for year is to much to bear!! Where are you located?

That's exactly the reason why I want one, its about as big as I'd like to go for a 1/2 ton truck without over doing it. We live in Miami, but I'm from the Chicagoland area, boated a lot on Fox Lake and Lake Michigan. Our 22 Classic was great for up there, but Miami just beats her up and being married now, the wife likes going out with a full boat to the sandbars, with no swim platform or ladder, I've got her and her girlfriends climbing up on the lower unit to get in and out. Not ideal! The 28zx's look to be a great upgrade from the 22 Classic, just don't see myself getting anymore speed with the 350 mags than I do with my 22' already. Which is why I think I'm going to hold off and wait for a Scorpion. Solid, reliable engines, good speed...worth the wait.

here is a cream puff.. http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/14722
I use their website to research engine packages, layouts and different models, it's a great reference tool.
If they ever deleted the old listings, they'd be left with about a dozen boats. Lol.
