Bunks for 38 zr
Anybody have any pics or dimensions for their boat lift bunks. What is your thoughts as to having straight or stepped bunks. By dimensions I am referring to a height and width mounted on your lift.
Thanks |

JLS,
Did you ever get those dimensions for the bunk spacing for your 38? I have a buddy with a 38 ZX who just installed a lift and needs to know the answer to the same question...how far do they need to be spaced apart and did you end up making adjustments for the steps? |
I have not yet but I just picked up the boat friday and will be working on it this week.

Email me and I might be able to get drawings for you. Myco will have the dimensions on file for their trailers/ bunks. We own 4 Mycos trailers and 2 cradles that we've had them build us new, so surely they can do me a favor. I dont think they are a classified secret, as I have the drawings from them for the 4 we have.

Thank you Stew stew dot low at bell dot net |
We were able to get the boat lift adjusted this weekend for a 38' ZX.
Roughly, the bunks on the lift were 10" tall. So, from the center of the lift cross member to the inside of the bunk needs to be 21". The inside to inside measurement for the bunks should be 42" total. Using trig, you can now calculate the exact length of the remaining sides and angles. Side 1: 22.649" opposite angle: 90 deg Side 2: 8.485" opposite angle: 22 deg Side 3: 21" opposite angle: 68 deg With this information you can now determine that using a 10" tall bunk there should be approximately 1.515" of space between the keel and the lift cross member. Bringing the bunks closer together would increase the gap between the keel and the lift cross member. Hope this helps! |
Thank you. It is helpful.

Why don't you just email Donzi and get trailer drawings?
