I didn't see any up by were the guy out in the gas tank but he put a 50gl tank in so that may have been covered up . as far as I can tell there wasn't a bill head up by the deck it's a clear shoot from the lazzerete to the bow . its not weak or spongey in that area so who knows . it's funny I've been thinking a lot about what you said the guy that used to work at donzi back in the day saying that no 2 are alike due to parts and special ordering .

I just looked at the pic again and there is a spot on the port side only that could have been a strap for a tank or a bulk head . but it's only on that side not on the other side of hull . also there looks to be a brass fitting of some sorts going thru hull across from there so who knows

I can't envision someone being able to remove a forward tank from that boat without either cutting everything up or a deck off/floor tub removal , but if they were able to do it I wish I had been there !
There really ought to be 2 bulkheads still in existence . One up where we're talking about and another that would have been the rear 'wall' of the storage area in the lazarette . There is also a cross brace of sorts glassed into the hull under the console .
On mine the most forward of the bulkheads was long since rotted out and the cross brace was breaking away from the hull . The only functioning bulkhead was the one at the rear of the lazarette. For the sake of strength you should not be able to see , unimpeded , from the front of the bilge to the rear !
I wish the damn pics I put up on the Donzi, net had not vanished , then it would be crystal clear what I'm talking about and what I did to fix it.
btw , Brownies remark about most boats being a tiny bit different was more a comment about inconsistencies than any customization or deliberate effort to make every boat 'special' .

I do understand what brownie was talking about . your right about the bulkheads missing but I don't see a way to replace them with out a decap. Maybe just put one forward of the lazzerete I can do that .as far as the other one in the bow up front I'll have think on a way and the one thats supposed to be under the cc in front of tank I could do the tank does encroach on the lazzerete now that the tank is so large

What would probably be the best route to go is to clean that thing up , give the engine and drive a good servicing and checking and then put it over and try it out . (Even if not for a long period of time)
If that tank you have is truly 50 gallons it'll be interesting to see how it balances out at a standstill . For the first near 20 years of ownership of mine all I had was the 20 gallon tank under the console and even when full the balance was pretty good but I wouldn't have wanted it to be larger considering how it would have affected the on plane performance.
Compared to the Hornets the St T runs a lot more bow light .

Yup that's pretty much the plan I have a lot of cleaning to do and I checked the oil last time I was up there it had gas washed due to the fact that the carb is auto choke but not hooked up lol. Any way the bilge is dirty and so is the rest of the boat but a good scrubbing and change of fluids and well she what shes got . after a few test runs I'll have a better idea of were to go from there paint is for sure after some glass work
