Donzi 33ZX 496 HO range
Hi everyone, I’ve be en searching for some info about the best cruise speed and range of my Donzi, but found límites info about that. Mine is a 2004 33ZX WITH 496 HO, Bravo X, and Bravo 28” pitch props. No gen and no AC. The only fuel consumption, cruise speed and range I’ve found are about with Mercury Racing blue supercharged engines.
I’m planning about doing a 160 miles trip the next season, and I’m concerned about the range and how much extra fuel I must carry on board if necesary.
I Feel that the boat is more comfortable riding at 37-40 MPH (GPS) at 3200 RPM) against the waves and at 40-45 MPH (3200-3500 RPM) in the same dirección of the waves. I usually ride in 4-6’ open seas at the south pacific coast (Chile).
If someone can help me with these I will be grateful.

I have a 35ZR with same motors and same props. The best fuel economy I've seen was 1.5 mpg cruising 43-45 mph @ 3200 RPM. I was getting 1.2-1.3 mpg running 48-50 mph @ 3500 RPM. My tank is 165 gallons, so I would feel comfortable going about 160-180 miles. (When i did my calculations, i was doing long hauls, not stopping and going. I assume i would get closer to 1 mpg for normal boating - making multiple stops/getting back on plane). Hope this helps.

I ‘ll post pictures of the travel when completed.
