33’s ride great and perform well with power. Definitely try to find a 500efi boat. The 502’s and 496’s just don’t provide the performance in my opinion. There is a pump under the step into the cabin, often they fail and water stays under the cabin floor and can cause rot.

We've had a 33zx with 502 MPIs for a year now ... it's a fantastic boat for us; a good mix of ample cabin room and performance. With black motors, 1/2-3/4 fuel and 4-6 of us onboard we are at 67-68 mph consistently -- that's with bravo 1 24ps..
Props turn in from factory (easy change if you want to) so slow speed maneuvering is a challenge but not unmanageable.

No input on the 33 ZX, but I’m shocked to see someone going from the trouble ish free world of outboards to a stern drive. Ever thought about repowering your concept? I can’t imagine a 33zx is much different speed wise, you out for speed or noise?

ya center c are nice it just isn't me . my dads best friend has a engine shop so that's not a issue for me . plus I need something with a cabin and ac as I stay the night at Kellys island a lot here in ohio. dons 33 seems to be best of everything for me . thanks to everyone who posted
