Have been surfing the classifieds and the prices on 38 Daytonas have dropped a bunch for used boats. Maybe they are trashed but there are several 3 or so year old boats with 575's & 600's in the $150-$160 range? That is a huge price drop over last fall! I've always liked them and if I wouldn't have bought the cig at the end of last year it would have been tempting to go this route, heck I am half tempted to trade now anyway....

The cabin with all of the options is nice on the ZX and the Daytona.

They are definetly sweet boats. Big too. I think they have a 9 foot+ beam.

9'3" beam and 6'2" headroom.

It's heavy but its like a motorhome inside.

A friend just bought this one. 2004 with 525's loaded.

Let me know what speed your friend is getting with his 38ZX w/525's. I have been looking to step-up into a 38 w/ the same motors. I have to assume he would be in the upper 70's. I presently have a 33ZX with the 500 hp EFI's, that I am running in the upper 70's, I am hoping, the 38 runs similar speeds to my 33ZX with added comfort.

For all you Donzi Fans, my mint 2001 33ZX is for sale in the classified section, at a more than reasonable price. I really want to get into a 38. Ask Around for me.

I am also curious to the speeds with 525's.

I run 72 to 75 mph tops in my 38 ZX with 500 efi's deepending on wich lake I am at. Lake Havasu was my best run with a 1/4 tank of fuel.

38 ZX with 525's, ITS/Xr and sportmasters runs 79 with P-5's and 81.8 with lab Bravo's.

He told me when he test drove the boat it was running 80.3 GPS.
