Re: Zxr???
Yea baby...I am really liking what I see..now where is the 38??? Even the 35 looks to be about what the DR ordered. I think there is a new donzi in my future. Needs a little more color in the dash, maybe bezels to match the paint and I hate black faced gauges but overall me likey.
|
Re: Zxr???
The gauge faces are actually a gray carbon fiber look. I thought it might look cool to have the same flame style as the foredeck, going over the top of the Tach/Speedo nacelles.

Re: Zxr???
Are they sit down seats and who makes them?
Anybody want a 38 ZX? I might be selling. |
Re: Zxr???
They're power drop-out bolsters on our boat. They have a molded fg shell around the base which makes a nice footrest for the back seat passengers.

Re: Zxr???
Any word on the 38!!!!
|
Re: Zxr???
38ZR(as opposed to the 38ZR Competition on the website) will be on display @ convention center/Miami Boat Show. I believe it will be a 525 boat, with the other option being Merc 1075/#6 pkg.
The new 43 ZR won't be far behind... Hugh Pollock/Offshore Performance 410-708-2701 |
Re: Zxr???
Hi LoneStar, yes your right, Donzi is making a 35,38,and a 42 ZR boat with cabins. We will have a 35,and a 42 ft ZR at the boat show in Dallas this Febuary.

Re: Zxr???
Hey MyWay.
I am assuming that you are boating on either Lewisville or Texoma. I will be on both this coming year in my 01' 382Formula. I looked at your boat at Xtreme Marine, that thing is amazing. I am definitely looking forward to checking out the 42 in February. Lonestar :drink: |
Re: Zxr???
In reading the options I see you can get it with a poker run cabin. What does that entail?
I dont need a fridge or microwave just a basic cabin and a vacu flush. Here are the options I am interested in: Bolster Seats, Elec t r ic – Por t & Stbd Cabin – Lightweight Poker Run Version Color -Matched Engine Compar tment Compass, Digi tal Dash Panels – Custom Painted W/ Color -Matched Gauge Pods Head, Vacu-Flush W/ Holding Tank & Overboard Discharge Hour Meters ITS Extension Boxes Sea St rainers - Teague Stereo Upgrade – Rockford / MB Quar t – CD Changer, Amps, Subwoofers Windshield, Plex ( to replace standard windscreen) XM Stereo Module ENGINE OPTIONS T-496HO B1 T-525EFI B1 What's the real price with 496's and 525's? May be interested with Gen and Ac too but unsure. |
Re: Zxr???
We are getting a 38ZR staggered with 525s and boxes. They will be putting the 600s as an option. The 42 ZR will start with 525s and you can get 1075s with 6/Drives. I ran a 525 35ZR what an awesome boat price is pretty good. I just sold two of them. I am getting my personal boat with 496s.

Re: Zxr???
I see one listed for $159 for a 35.

For a 3 new models this has been pretty quiet. Any new news?
|
Re: Zxr???
38 ZR will be unveiled at the Miami Show, believe the 43 will also be there or show shortly after.... Then I believe the noise begins ....

Re: Zxr???
Like stated, the 35 is a standup, but...I don't think the freeboard made me feel ultra comfortable. It is a little deep for a sit down, but a little shallow for a standup for my tastes anyway. The ergonomics are fantastic. I love the helm. I will definitely wait for either the 38 or the 43. I think a 43 with 1075's is being built or is planned for a customer out of the Dallas area, I'm anxious to see that one :evilb:

The 35 ZR fit me fine, she is a lower boat but thats what makes the ZR different and fast! I have been on a test run with the boat and after you experience the ride you will not feel uncomftorble anymore. The 38 ZR will be introduced in Miami and right not being kept under wraps. as far as the opening in the door thats a wait and see and the door is much nicer to get in then the 28ZX. For the price of the boat she can't be beat!
I just ordered mine and even though I am a dealer I fell in love with the boat and the 35ZR fits my needs all the way. there are not to many boats with 496s that will get you over 80mph but the 35 ZR does it with no effort. |
Re: Zxr???
I've said it before and this picture confirms it - the Beak on that 35 Donzi makes a Fountain owner feel like he has bucoo running surface. That is the longest fregging nose I have ever seen on a performance boat.

Re: Zxr???
Oh and lets not forget who has been winning F-2 Class for the last 3 years! With the same hull. Donzi has proved itself and is definetly showing her strength in the race community

Re: Zxr???
The cockpit of the 35 looks pretty cramped. I'm anxious to see the 38. No doubt the 38 ZR is a great boat - I just dont' see how you can build out a pleasure cabin and cockpit and still get 90+ MPH out of 525''s. No doubt it'll be a great success if they do it.
|
Re: Zxr???
The 35' ZXR cockpit has been discussed in detail earlier in this thread. A few observations and up close impressions that back up the impression that it's small. Most likely too small for me 'ya know? I do like the dash look/shape/features on both sides though.

We are 3 days into the Miami show and no pics of the 38 yet?
What's the deal? Someone has to have taken a picture of the new 38 - is it even at the show? |
