The curent setup is one swept and one straight. Boat handles and runs great. I will chime in once I put the new ones on and let you know if there is any difference.

Hi, Were you able to put on the twin straight skegs yet I'm interested in your lefty 1.75 lowers if you still have it. . |

As far as the swept back skeg I have run both and the diffrence isn't worth the investment. You can grind the tab off of the skeg. Congrats and enjoy! |

bb, would you have pics you can post to show the grinded skeg with no tab? . |
BulletBob what props were you running? 3 blade or 4 blade? I would like to find some 280's. It's hard to beat the reliability of the fishing boat motors though.
I have both of the 1.75's and I am planning on selling them. Fat Shafts, new bearings and REM finished gears. Less then 10 hours on full rebuilds with receipts. I agree, I could not tell a difference in the skegs. |
If I remember correctly they were 5 blade Bravo style. I will ask this evening when I'm at the shop and get back to you. You would need the 280s' to turn the rpms.
