I had an old pump sprayer laying around. The wand was broke so I spliced into the line. I bought a small inline valve and attached the hose thats on the hand pump in the picture. Not sure if it works though..havent used it yet

99...can you explain how to change the drive oil with these things? Also, what parts did you buy?

Thanks

I havent actually used the changer yet. I put it together out of boredom on a rainy weekend. The garden sprayer I had laying around, my wand was broke so I cut it off and used a cheap valve between that and the threaded hose. The threaded hose hand pump you can pick up at a boat store for a few bucks.(its not attached in the pics) In theory you just pump it up and have a beer and let it fill your outdrive. There was another thread where people installed tire valves on the sprayer bottle then filled it up via air compressor so their is more pressure I assume and no pumping. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I read that but still a little foggy. You take the drive drain screw out of the drive(behind the prop), drain the oil, and then insert the drilled out tire valve(that is the same size as the drive drain screw) and pump and fill until comes into the reservoir....then remove quickly and put screw back in?

Thanks and sorry....i need to see these things up close some times. I have all the stuff, but just dont want to butcher it yet.

The slickest filling tool ive seen was at a marina where they made an old keg into a drive filler......they fill the keg up with oil....the filler tube was attached to a pickup tube much like a fuel pickup in our gas tanks...and they had a tire valve right next to it.....so the guy just screws in the attachment to the drive...hooks up an air line and opens the air valve and presureises the keg.....filled the drive up in what seemed like 30 seconds!!
I made my own version out of a plastic container that hold 2 quarts of oil....only thing is if i run too much psi into it it starts to swell up...but it works nice :D
