Can parts still be purchased for these drives??Are they easy to maintain and what should I look for when buying a boat with these drives used?

Yes we still make all the parts for the ASD6 drive units.

Look for corrosion, water in the oil and or any damage from running aground or over things.

Dear Rick i have the #005 Intrepid ever built a 1984 30Foot Big Hawaii and i have already professioally installed a Yanmar 340 diesel engine.
I am looking into putting a Arneson drive to make it faster, the boat is inmaculate and has been restared completely. It was owned by the owner of intrepid who only used it as a test boat.
How much would it cost me to install a new Arneson drive and who do you recommend doing it.
Also what speed do you think this boat will give.
