Default resealing an alpha drive...

other than having to machine/make a couple tools, how hard is it to do??? straight foreward with the manual? Im more worried about things going sproing when I take it apart. drive is fresh, just been sitting for a few years and seals have dried out, its weeping out the exhaust vent

If you have never done one before it will be an experience, not real hard, just different, to do a reseal you souldn't come across any springy things, but if you have a manual, follow it, its not to bad. just watch for the quad seal that is on the edge between the upper and lower, and make sure the shifter is in forward when you pull the drive.

Not too hard at all if you have a Merc #6 manual for Alpha 1's or #14 for Gen 2 Alphas. I've done quite a few and if you have any problems feel free to email me. [email protected]
