There are still parts available for the Kaama drive through Archer Marine. 949-646-9778 We re-made the tail (prop cover) recently. Someone on OSO made the tooling again for the boot but I have not heard if they tried one yet.
The kamma was designed by my father and the WSD was designed by my father and me before he passed away. He wanted me to use the Kaama boot because it was already done. Since then the tooling disappeared and we could not get boots so we changed the pattern for the casting to accept the new boot of the WMD. pat W There are a few of us that need the Kaama boots And i was told Archer did not have any. I have a boot that i would be more than willing to give someone if the can GUARANTEE that they could make a mold or something out the one i give so all of us Kaama guys have some spares. |
The end of the Kaama drive , I was told, was when the molds were sold and the buyer sank them in New York harbor. I do not know why.
