Call Scott at Victory Marine. The number is 713-910-2000. He might have some available. When I was looking last month I was told that there are no remans from merc in the new style available yet. I also spoke to Gavin Marine and at the time I was looking they had a new XR upper for $3200.

Thank`s for the advice Griff , i call BAM , and Mark said to me , it will work , and Mr Gadget say to me the same thing ,
The newer style OW is stronger because of the top cap. Setup is a little different but that can be retrofitted to an older case.
Well, in my opinion, if an older XR is setup correctly......
and have a new style cap installed and setup then you may match the OW for strength.

I will keep you posted , a older remanufactured upper is on the way , we will try to retrofitted the top cap and back cap for my Hydraulics
steering , and i will post some picture of my upper soon
And thank`s again MrGadgets for all you precious help

You are very welcome!
If you are going to put a ribbed cap (or any different cap) on the new upper, you must measure the depth of the race in the old cap and the new one to compensate for the difference in depth.. Shoot me a pm and I can explain if further..
