profile cat owners--what horsepower and drive are you using -any ext box or drive spacers and how if any difference in speed or prop slip. i run a 575 sci with a xr 1.50.A ny info would be great

Well come to OSO, How much info. would you like. 28 profile cat, 2001, 622ci bowtie, naturally asperated, dynoed 837hp@5800 rpm, 858ftlbs @4700rpm, Imco SC drive with 3" rise stand-off box, standard lower w/1.34 gears,5500rpm 26p B1 prop, 96mph at lake powell, utah 3600ft elev. prop slip is around 6-7%, previous owner had installed a 1.5" spacer, for what purpose i'm not sure, removed spacer and gained 7 mph. anything else.

I have a 1999 cat with a 600SC, XZ Drive, 1.5 gears, 30 Bravo one labbed by BBlades. Have my rev limiter set at 5100-5200, hit the limiter I'm doing 84mph. Purposely built in the high slip factor. Haven't had lower unit issues since I did it.
