Closed Cooling Systems for 350 Mag EFI with Alpha
I was wondering is anyone has ideas for closed cooling systems with for a 350 Mag EFI with an Alpha drive. I found one system by San Juan Engineering. I guess Mercury Marine also makes one (haven't seen it), but you have to drill a hole in the hull for a water pickup, because the Alpha pump doesn't flow enough water. What do people recommend?

I'm running a full closed cooling on a carbed 350 with 325hp on an alpha. It runs around 185 very consistantly but I am still trying the holes in the thermostat to try and drop the temp a few more degree's down to about 165 or 170. The system I have was the merc system for a 200hp 305 and I am likely near the limits of the heat exchanger. I believe that the alpha pump moves plenty of water, it just depends on the size and number of passes the heat exchanger makes. If im wrong on this I'm sure someone will chime in and correct me.
