gear lube
Pulled boat out and gear lube leaking through prop shaft. Any one know what is wrong ?? Thanks Mark

Prop shaft seal is probably the issue. You should pull the drive and pressure test it. While under pressure spray soapy water or cleaner near the leak and theoretically it should bubble. Turn shaft while doing so.

what out drives do u-have anyways / do u-have a 419 formula w/twins if so do both drives if 1 is gone the other is not far behind it . best of luck j

Yep, prop shaft seal. Not a huge repair by any means unless water got into the drive.

Boat has triples and it was the center drive. There was some water but not alot. Bravo 1 drives. How do you know if there is internal damage?

When your gear lube is leaking in that area , it can be the prop shaft seals, but it also can be the bearing carrier "O" ring. Part #31 in the attached link.
