Prop shaft seal is probably the issue. You should pull the drive and pressure test it. While under pressure spray soapy water or cleaner near the leak and theoretically it should bubble. Turn shaft while doing so.

When your gear lube is leaking in that area , it can be the prop shaft seals, but it also can be the bearing carrier "O" ring. Part #31 in the attached link.
