eliminator,
that is interesting info about the Imco vers Sportmaster. I only have experience with the Imco and not on cats. So looking at it from that perspective is probably better served by your guy.

Checkedout,
I talked to Imco the other day, so far with about 40 units out, no gear or internal problems. Some issues with setup on the cats, because of the larger bullet, but drive height adjustments seem to cure those issues. So far so good for the SCX. Still dont have specifics on hp/weight/time/abuse results as of yet. But nothing negative.

Waconda,
It has been a while since I talked to Imco, been layed up with back surgery for most of the summer and fall. But the last I heard they have not had any gear or bearing failures. So they seem to be working. But I keep asking if they have any examples of 1200hp in a 10,000 lbs boat that runs a 6 blade prop and goes 200mph and they still cant fill that one.
They have about 50 units out, but not sure how many have been run hard, or what they are all on. I'll have to touch base with them in the near future and ask about them..

Thanks for the update.

I maybe interested in the SCX but not at the cost of 10 mph so I was hoping they had that worked out as well.

What type of boat are they on? The problem I have is not so much HP as weight, I have a 46 BT with triple 800s.
