Default Bravo 1 Rebuild

What sealer or sealant do you put around the the oil ring were the upper and lower split and upper to gimbal split.
Factory puts some clear type varnish looking stuff. What is it that they use, or what will work?

I dont use any sealer on those particular O rings. If you feel you need to, I would suggest Perfect Seal.

no sealant if the O-ring doesnt seal on its own theres a problem. not saying this is the case, but just letting u know. no need to put anything. and i agree with vinny p...if any sealant , perfect seal.

The sealer Merc uses is PN 92-34227. It is used to only hold the orings, gaskets in place. The oring around the vertical shaft in the lower does not use any sealer.

Hope this helps.

Trick I've used to hold them in place during installation is a little grease but don't use and sealer.
