Default Drive Pitting Question

I looked at a 2004 Fountain with a single B1X Drive. All looked good except there was some pitting on the skeg. My old boat is a 95 with no pitting whatsoever after 13 saltwater seasons. This boat supposedly was a freshwater trailer boat but from the looks of the trim zincs, it was left in the water for extended times. I see no zinc around the propshaft either. No bottom paint. What's the story? Should I be concerned? Thanks.

Post a link or pics if you can. If you haven't already, take some close up pics of the drive and transom. There shouldn't be bottom paint on these boats.
