Default Sportmaster VS IMCO Lowers

What are the differences between the IMCO and the Merc Sportmaster? Seems that new the merc costs more and the imcos are easier to find. They obviously look drastically different.....

For my setup I would have a 1.35 ratio with big shafts and am switching from a regular XR lower.

Thanks guys!

Not sure about inside the case but outside the water pick ups and skeg are different. The Sportmaster has many small holes for water pick up while the Imco has one big one. The sportmaster has a much bigger skeg which gives better handling but at a cost of a few mph.

I think that the IMCO foot is probably the most commonly used on your boat. Pretty standard upgrade for a 28 Elim cat.
