Default Bravo 1 to X/XR swap

I need to tap into the infinite wisdom of the board!

Are the X and XR bolt in replacements for the Bravo 1?

If I were to break a Bravo 1 would there be any problem running an X or XR on one side and a 1 on the other?

Thanks.

They all interchange. You can run a standard bravo with a xr, or an x. Not that it is a permanent solution, but if you had xr's & broke one & had a x for a spare or a standard bravo you could run that drive while your broken drive was being fixed.

While your example is correct, you can't just put an XR in place of a regular bravo. The Gimbal bearing is different for the XR. You can swap that bearing in the regular bravo transom assembly then run any of the 3 drives but the XR won't fit until that bearing has been changed. There is a "kit" but that bearing is really the only thing you must change.

You are right. I always forget about the stupid bearing. I need to replace mine since I'm thinking about it.

Also ,,,if u run a standart gimbal,,,i would change it to HP gimbal .

The HP gimbal has a stronger gimbalring.

Not that u need to change it to fit the XR,,,,but its worth it !!!!
