yes, it's been done but not easy. buckshot racing B-30 sutphen ran bravos with trs gimble housings . they welded up the gimble ring to accept the bravo bell housing then welded in a ring so they could put a gimble bearing in . worked great and very trick , at that time gimble rings on bravos were breaking regularly on race boats and people were losing drives so they decided that the trs gimble housing was alot stronger than the bravos.
